Flagship Engagement

The Decision Sprint.

When the decision is too big to circle any longer.

3 to 4 weeks. Fixed scope. Full decision architecture.

What It Is

A three to four week engagement for one consequential decision that has stalled. We run a structured process: stakeholder perspectives, real constraints, options reduced to the ones that matter, trade-offs made explicit, ownership assigned. You commit to a path with documented logic behind it.

When It Fits

A critical decision has stalled and the cost of delay is mounting

Leadership is split and every meeting reopens the same question

The options feel endless and the trade-offs have never been written down

You need a committed, board-ready path, not another analysis round

The Process

How It Works

1

Step 1 - Surface what is real.

Structured interviews and a review of what actually drives the decision: facts, assumptions, constraints and the disagreements nobody has put on the table.

2

Step 2 - Structure and decide.

Working sessions that reduce the options, make trade-offs explicit and bring the decision to commitment with clear ownership.

3

Step 3 - The Blueprint.

An Executive Decision Blueprint: the decision, the logic, the trade-offs, the risk register and a fit-for-purpose execution frame with milestones and review points.

What You Walk Away With

  • An Executive Decision Blueprint with documented decision logic
  • Explicit trade-offs and a priority map
  • One named owner per decision
  • An execution frame with named ownership and first milestones

What It Is Not

Not a conventional strategy study that ends in analysis. A strategic decision, made properly, with the logic and ownership to move. Not a slide marathon. Not an analysis that ends in it depends. A decision, made properly, with the logic to defend it.

Practical questions

How much of our time does a Sprint take?

A structured kickoff, focused working sessions across three to four weeks and a final decision session. Your team keeps running the business in between.

What if the decision changes mid-Sprint?

Then the Sprint surfaced it early. Reframing the real decision is progress, not a detour.

Who needs to be involved?

The decision owner throughout, plus the stakeholders whose input or veto genuinely shapes the outcome. We keep the circle deliberately small.

How quickly can a Sprint start?

Typically within two to three weeks of the first conversation, depending on stakeholder availability.

What do we need to prepare?

Access to the people who shape the decision and the material that already exists. No new analysis is required before we start.

What happens after the Sprint?

You own the Blueprint and the execution frame. Some clients continue with the Sparring-Retainer to keep execution honest; many run it themselves.

Ready to take the next step?

The simplest next step: a short, open conversation.

Ready to take

the next step?

A short conversation is enough to find out whether we can help. No pitch, no commitment, just clarity on fit.
